"Rio is great" |
Spent four nights at the Rio and it was great. This is not a place for kids and that is one thing I like about it. The pools are nice and easy to get too. Service is great. The only thing I did not like is that they seem to have only single deck blackjack and remove the doubling down, splitting and blackjack 3 to 2 pay. This is now common for strip hotels with single decks but I would prefer a shoe and normal rules. Other than that it was great. November 3, 2005 |
"Great place to stay" |
This hotel caters to the young and the young at heart. Sometimes the music in the casino may get a little too loud but for the most part, I enjoyed the lively atmostphere. I stayed in the old tower and had no complaints. The room was clean and spacious. I had a coffee maker in the room. My only complaint was that the cleaning staff comes before 9:00 AM or after 4:00 PM. Also, being off the strip is both a plus and a minus. I plan to stay at the Rio again. June 30, 2005 |
"One of the best stays ever!" |
This hotel was just superb. We were assigned to our room, but when we went up the cleaner was there and she needed another half hour to finish. We called reception and they were very apologetic and courteous. They gave us a free upgrade to a better room and a $50 voucher to spend anywhere in the hotel.
Our room was on the 33rd floor, which had an excellent view of the Strip, it was big with a luxurious bed with curtains at the head of the bed, a huge, "U-shaped" sofa, a top-quality coffee maker, a big TV, lots of little bath accessories, a great bath/shower and two basins (one outside the bathroom). Everything was immaculate and staff were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again! And considering the price ($110 for the two of us) for all this luxury, it was a bargain!
Furtherore, the hotel had lots of nice restaurants (gambling as well, of course) and a fancy bar, where bartenders entertain with stunts (and make nice cocktails too). I definitely recommend the Rio to everyone! June 19, 2005 |
"I absolutely loved staying at the Rio."
|
I have stayed at many of the hotels in Vegas but none that has shown me courtesy from the hotel staff along with a clean beautiful room with an awesome view of the strip and the mountains. I usually have something to complain about with staying at a hotel either the room or the hotel Staying there I could not complain at all. Now that one of my favourite restaurants is there too - Rosemary's - I will definitely be back!!! December 30, 2003 |
"Great Rooms!"
|
Stayed at the Rio at the end of September 2003. A bit off the strip, but wonderful rooms! We got a great deal staying mid-week. The food at the main hotel buffet was great but we hated the self-serve computer touch-screens, it made you feel like you were at a cafeteria. I refused to leave a tip there. The show in the sky is something everyone should see. December 6, 2003 |
